Vistas of American Waterfronts - IV

Here is another set of waterfront pictures from my travels in the US. I really admire one facet of this new nation is that they spend enormous amounts of money in maintaining and protecting natural resources. Creeks, springs, rivers are usually not encroached upon, this facilitates natural water percolation along its original paths. Large dams/ lakes/ reservoirs have been constructed to facilitate storage of water. It is amazing to know that pretty much the entire west coast of the US is fed by one river which is known as Colorado, Trinity and Rio Grande as it passes through different parts of the country. In this blog I will try to give some vistas of this mighty river.

A lake created in the Trammell Crow Park, south of downtown Dallas, by diverting and damming the trinity river

Lake Travis, created by damming the Trinity river
