Hindu Screen Saver

Whenever I search for spiritually themed screen savers I found only Christian and Muslim Themed ones. As a response to the conspicuous absence of representation of Hindu spirituality I decided to use my amateur design skills and create some Hindu Screen Savers and deploy them on the web. A Brand New Screen Saver

Now that my exams are over I have been generally playing around with some graphics packages. One of the desktop wallpapers I created is here under. It could make a good desktop for someone interested in Hindu spirituality.

New Graphics...

I was playing with the graphics programs on the computer and created these two images. I wonder if the blog readers will like them. Feel free to download and use them. I'd appreciate a track back or link if you do as an acknowledgment of the image creator.

New Website Template

I have been dabbling with some website design ideas and decided that it was time I built my own website template from start to end. Here is the result, the template is available for free download if someone wants it. If you do download the template do let me know what you think about it and if you ahve any suggestions for improvement.

Designing Graphics

My first job was that of a designer's and ever since there has been some aspect of creativity in my career. I was a graphic designer, a journalist and now involved in website design in a small way. I recently was trying to create a custom map of places I have visited with google maps. In order to make the map more interesting I tried to create some icons. Here they are for your viewing pleasure and critique.

Here is another animation I recreated out of a games logo. As I try to work on animations I realize that this is not so easy as I thought. It does take lots of painstaking hours of work to delve into the detail.

I have been playing with animation software trying to learn its capabilities and testing my own skills at design and animation.

More Artworks

Here I am back again with some more exercises at creating cool web graphics and animations. I tried to create some variations using the same base image of a smiley face. You could copy and use them if you wish. I have used inkscape to draw the image and trail version of gif animator to create the animation. If this works well I will try and create more to showcase my creativity.

Attempting to Animate

I have been twiddling my thumbs doing pretty much nothing so I explored the web and downloaded a trail version of the Gif Animator software and played around with it. Here is one of the animations I created.

Trying a hand at creativity

Here is a bookmark I created while exploring the options presented in InkScape, the freeware alternate for CorelDRAW. The software is indeed good with a few glitches, but then when compared to $500 plus which has to be spent to buy CorelDraw I'd rather live with the glitches. I will work on the software more and try to come up with more designs. Feel free to copy and use them in your blog/ site, one request though attribute them to me and if possible give a link to my blog.
