Historical Markers in Texas

Historical markers are the modern day inscriptions/ stone tablets. These are extensively used in the state of Texas to identify places where historically relevant events took place. I have passed several of them during my travels around the DFW area. Sometimes I get curious and stop to take pictures of the same, other times my commitments make me drive away from these places and get on with my work. Either way I thought it'd be a good idea to share these pictures of a historical marker I chanced upon during my drive to Decatur, TX on highway 380.
