Visiting Katrina Ravaged Neighborhoods!!!

One of modern America's greatest natural disasters which exposed the country's discriminative policies to the world. A calamity which even the richest nation couldn't deal with by itself had had to seek help from destitute third world nations such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc. It is a different matter that India also contributed significantly towards relief for Katrina victims. Despite all these contributions and help from even the poorest nations the damage done by Katrina continues to plague the poor people of New Orleans lower 9th ward. It is four years since Katrina devastated the low income neighborhoods of New Orleans and reconstruction is yet to happen. I was certainly surprised and shocked to see the neglect for the Katrina affected neighborhoods continue to suffer despite being located in the world's richest nation. Here are some pictures...
