Fort Richardson: A Fortress without walls

Last weekend we visited Fort Richardson State Park, in Jacksboro, Tx. Located about 85 miles from DFW Metroplex, Fort Richardson is one of those places where you can experience the real wild western side of Texas. These are places which very few people outside US would have heard about. This was apparently the site the very bloody "Indian Wars" (I would call it "Massacre of Native Americans by Colonizing White people". Anyway here are some pictures of what is left of it.

Nice pictures. The houses look beautiful. Even the lake is wonderful. I have seen the wild west many times in Hollywood movies. It looks beautiful

Thanks for the comment. The buildings are not houses... they are parts of a military bastion... hospital, bakery, armory, guard house etc... It is beautiful nevertheless...
