IT Education and Certification for better future

The technology revolution which has transformed the world started in the 1960s with the introduction of affordable computers to automate routine office tasks. Since then several advancements have taken place and the contry has transformed from a manufacturing economy to the knowledge driven economy. Computing and information technology plays a very important role in modern day offices and corporations are constantly looking to hire talented and certified IT professionals to run their software operations.

One of the most popular and widely respected IT certification program in modern corporate work place is the Cisco certification. I am considering the option of getting certified as a Cisco certified professional because this is a sure shot way to ensure success in my future career in the IT and allied industries.

As I research online for more information about these certification programmes I have understood that there are three levels of IT certification: Associate, Professional, and Expert which can be achieved through six Different Paths. One can opt for routing and switching, network security or even service provider depending upon the area of interest and profession one is interested in. One common feature of all the certification programme is the tremendous amount of lucrative job opportunities available to qualified professionals.

Now I am certain that to make a strong foundation for future career along with my graduate studies in management I should get a Cisco certification which will boost my opportunities for employment. And in the present recessionary economy it is always better to have an edge over others in the race for the same job.
