Remembering India and Bangalore

This is the first time in my life that I have been out of home for such a long time. The longest thus far has been when I volunteered in Ladakh in 2001, that was for 5½ months. Now it is almost 8 months since I left landed in US on October 18, 2007. I guess after a month of being here in the US, the fascination for technology, modernity and advancement waned off and I began to miss India.

Not that there are no problems in India, there are lots of them, but even amidst issues the country has a strange charm and homliness about it. I love the vibrancy, colourfulness, the human warmth, the fantastic ancient monuments, the hills and rocks where I climbed in my free will. The dams where I swam to my hearts content... oh! do I miss India... waiting to go back home... I was browsing through my old pictures and felt like posting these online.

Devanahalli Fort, an ancient architectural marvel, gives a sense of nostalgia whenever I visit it
